"Yes I'm so excited!" Maria yells. "This is gonna be fun!"
"You say that now until you actually get into the heat of the action, then you will see your excitement turn to fear and worry." Destiny says.
"What do you mean?" Maria asks. "I thought you enjoyed being on the front lines?"
"I did, until I saw the horrors of war" Destiny says with a solemn tone. "Sure it's fun to fight, but even if you emerge victorious, you can't help but think of the people who didn't survive. It's especially hard when you knew them on a personal leve. I've been fortunate enough to survive all of the battles I've been in. But I can't say that for all of my comrades." Everyone just stares at Destiny, each with sadness filling their face. "War is no fun to be in. I've lost so much and gained so little."
Connection with Jorden
"The king of Allunia is me" A familiar voice says, interrupting Elewa. A tall man, with a black afro, a short boxed beard, darkish colored skin, and grey eyes, descends from the sky and lands a few feet away from both groups. A woman with cocoa colored skin, dreads with blue colored tips, blue lipstick, and blue eyes follows immediately after him. Destiny's body trembles as she slowly looks towards the man. He smiles and waves at her. "It's been too long sister, it seems you're looking well." Destiny attempts to speak, but no words come out. She extends her arms and slowly walks towards Jorden. Her bottom lip trembles as tears emerge from her eyes. She runs towards Jorden, right as she reaches him she falls forward. Jorden quickly catches her and goes down to his knees. Destiny buries her head into his chest and hugs him tightly. Tears run from her eyes as she cries loudly. Jorden places his hand on her back and rubs it, in an attempt to comfort her. "There there, sis let it out." Destiny continues to cry, slowly gaining control of herself. She sniffs the snot coming from her nose and wipes the tears from her eyes. She looks Jorden in the face and starts to giggle. She pulls him in closer, squeezing him tightly.
"I thought you were dead" Destiny says. "I missed you so much.. I'm sorry for what happened to you, If only I was stronger, then you wouldn’t of had to take the attack for me." Jorden chuckles as the two rise to their feet.
"There’s no need to apologize" Jorden says. "I was the one that stepped in and took the attack. She was too powerful for both of us. I'm just glad to know you were able to survive."
